JEWELLERY/EARRINGS/HAIR/NAIL VARNISH
In accordance with Health and Safety guidance, children are only allowed to wear a watch and plain stud earrings (with safety backs), which if worn, must be removed for P.E. If it is not possible for earrings to be removed, tape can be used to cover the earrings which should be supplied by parents. Therefore, we recommend children wait until the 6 week summer holiday to have their ears pierced. Long hair must be tied back. Hair should not be coloured and no patterns are permitted to be shaved into short hair. Children should not have their nails painted during term time and make up should not be worn.

WHAT YOUR CHILD WILL NEED TO BRING TO SCHOOL
All items that your child needs in the classroom will be provided by the school. A pencil case is not necessary. If you wish your child to have a mobile phone in school, this has to be handed in at the start of the day and collected at the end of the day from the school office.
VALUABLE ITEMS/ LOST PROPERTY
The Governing Body accepts no responsibility for items of value or sums of money brought onto the school premises. All losses should be reported at once to the class teacher. Pupils should not leave money or other such items in cloakrooms or class trays. On rare occasions, parents may be asked for the cost of replacing or repairing school equipment, which has been broken, damaged or lost.
A lost property container, clearly marked, can be found just outside the school hall. Lost items of clothing are placed in the box and the children look there for anything they have mislaid. This box is cleared at the end of each term. Money/watches are handed into the school office from where they can be claimed. Much time is often wasted by searching for missing, un-named property. Please put your child’s name on all their property especially school uniform; woven name tapes are ideal.
