School regards lunches as being of important social value and good manners are promoted.
The school is equipped with an excellent kitchen which provides both healthy and varied meals on a daily basis. All pupils are provided with a menu at the beginning of each term, which can also be found below. There is a choice of two main course meals, on of which is vegetarian; there is also a jacket potato or picnic option with a choice of fillings. Special diets can be catered for on request. Lunches are paid for daily, currently costing £2.30. Children bringing lunch money should ensure it is handed to the class teacher at the beginning of the school day in a named purse. Parents are kindly asked to give their children the exact money where possible, as the kitchen has a limited amount of change. Please note that the school can not be held responsible for money lost on the premises. Should your child forget to bring his or her lunch money, an ‘IOU’ system operates; it would be much appreciated if this could be remunerated as soon as possible.
As an alternative to a school lunch, the children may bring a packed lunch from home if they so wish. Children eating packed lunches may purchase supplementary items from the cafeteria.
