Supporting Pupils with Special Educational Needs at South Wootton Junior School

As with all schools, South Wootton Junior School is proud to support a diverse range of pupils, including those with special educational needs (SEN). These may include physical challenges, speech and language difficulties, learning differences, social interaction difficulties, or concerns related to emotional wellbeing and mental health.

We believe that working in partnership with parents—and, when appropriate, external professionals—is essential to understanding each child’s unique needs and planning the most effective support. Your insight and involvement as parents are vital in helping us create a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every child can thrive.

If you have any concerns about your child’s learning, development, or mental health, please speak with their class teacher or contact Mrs Waterman, our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
