Safeguarding

It is our duty to keep all children safe and protected from harm. We firmly believe that the best way to ensure this is for parents and pupils to be able to talk freely in school about worries or concerns. However, if we suspect that a child may be experiencing abuse, we are legally obliged to follow the Norfolk child protection procedures. It is our policy wherever possible to inform you if a referral to the Children’s Advice and Duty Service (CADS) is deemed to be necessary. The school appreciates that this may be a traumatic experience for the parent(s) but, in the interests of the child, it is important that the matter be investigated at the earliest opportunity. Families will be supported throughout this process.

If you are worried about a child at our school please speak to one of the Designated Safeguarding Leads straight away.
