Welcome back to the Spring term. I do hope that you all had a lovely festive holiday.
I've attached the term's curriculum overview and homework checklist. Please note that 4B will be swimming in the second half term.
It was lovely to catch up with most of you for our parent/teacher chats. If, for whatever reason, you couldn't make an appointment please contact the office for an appointment time. It really helps if we can support each other to benefit your child's learning and happiness.
Copies of Autumn half term 2 homework sheet is available here - so no excuses 4B that the dog ate your homework!
Welcome to 4B’s Page!
Hello and welcome to 4B’s home page. Thank you for taking the time to read it.
Obviously, the first term in a new year group is very important. The children have a new teacher, a new classroom and Year 4 learning expectations to cope with. It is without doubt that children do better at school if the relationship between home and school is strong. I really hope that you will feel that it is a three way partnership between your children, you and me. In addition to the set homework it will benefit all children to read as regularly as possible and, importantly, answer questions based on what they have read searching the text for the answers or the clues to the answers. The children will also be bringing home weekly spellings to learn for a Friday test.
Our whole school topic this term is 'Early Man'. You will have already received a curriculum statement that covers the themes we will be learning in all areas of the curriculum this term. Also, keep your eyes peeled for face book comments and photographs from 4B.
Don't forget, PE days are Tuesdays and Fridays.
I am looking forward to meeting you at parents evening but please don't hesitate to come in for a chat if you have any concerns to share or are interested to find out more about your child's learning.
